The Little Lady Cafe is a red building between the Courthouse and Water Tower in downtown Brooksville. We reviewed the restaurant a year ago, but it has since changed hands. The restaurant is now run/owned by Rory Steele. She worked at the restaurant for nearly 18 months before she decided to purchase the business with the support of her partners Brent Gaustad and Pete Roberts.

The Little Lady Cafe still has the feel of a hometown favorite gathering place. There are two main seating areas, one upon entering which is a bit smaller than the dining area just around the corner. Steele has added some outside seating as well.

We ordered pumpkin pancakes, the stuffed burger and the veggie omelet. Portions are fairly large and all the food was excellent. The pumpkin spiced pancakes were drizzled with cream cheese icing and sprinkled with pecan crumbles. The pancakes were very moist and flavorful.

The Little Lady Cafe offers a number of items that can be stuffed into the burger; we chose the jalapenos and cheese. The burger is cooked to order and comes with fries and we had no leftovers.

The Little Lady Cafe has built a community and many of the patrons are regulars. It’s active on Facebook and provides updates every few days. This is also where they list some of their specials and discounts. Recently they offered 10 percent off if you attended the Hernando High Leopards game against Fivay and still had your ticket. They were also offering 10 percent off to teachers for the start of school.

The Little Lady Cafe is open everyday from 6:00AM - 2:30PM. They are located at 13 S. Brooksville Ave., Brooksville. Phone (352) 457-5676.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back soon.
