Failure to Moveover for Emergency Vehicle leads to Drug Bust

RAILEY, LARISA ADALE

Arrested on 6/28/2017 05:35 17240 CORTEZ BLVD, BROOKSVILLE

Arrest Summary Excerpt: "On 06/27I17, while on conducting a traffic stop of a separate vehicle, l observed a blue Ford Mustang bearing FI tag O675VU traveling east on Cortez Boulevard. I observed the vehicle fail to vacate the lane closest to my emergency vehicle. The Mustang had ample opportunity and time to vacate the closest lane as it was the only vehicle driving on the road at the time of the separate traffic stop. I cleared the original traffic stop and conducted a traffic stop of the Mustang for failing to vacate the closet lane.

Upon making contact with the driver/defendant she appeared nervous as her speech was very slowed, she was stuttering over her words and she was sweating profusely. The defendant identified herself as Larisa Railey and produced a valid Florida Driver's License.

A search through FCIC/NCIC revealed that the defendant did have a valid driver's license however it was set to be suspended on 07/05/17.

I asked the defendant if she had any illegal weapons in the car to which she replied "no". I then asked the defendant if she had any illegal drugs in the car to which she replied "no, go ahead and look if you want". The defendant then consented to a search of the Vehicle.

A search of the vehicle yielded a rolled up cigar with a green leafy substance, 2 clear plastic baggies with a white powdery substance and 7 and a half round green pills with the marking A214 on them.

The green leafy substance inside of the cigar tested positive for marijuana using NARCO test kit 7608. The first plastic baggy with the powdery substance tested positive for cocaine using NARCO test kit 7604. The second plastic baggy with the powdery substance tested positive for cocaine using NARCO test kit 7604. The round green pills were identified as Oxycodone 15mg.

Once at the Hernando County Jail, each of the above mentioned items were weighed using scale AV612N. The rolled marijuana cigar had a total weight of 0.7 grams. The first plastic baggy containing cocaine had a total weight of 0.3 grams. The second plastic baggy containing cocaine had a total weight of 0.3 grams. The 7 and a half Oxycodone pills had a total weight of 5 grams which made it a trafficking amount.

The defendant was taken into custody and transported to the Hernando County Jail without incident. The defendant is currently being held on a $25,000.00 bond per the bond schedule for Trafficking in Oxycodone, a $2,000.00 bond per the bond schedule for Possession of Cocaine and a $1,000.00 bond for Possession of Cannabis 20 grams or less per the bond schedule for a total bond of $28,000.00 per the bond schedule. The defendant has a felony arraignment date of 07/31117 at 0830 hours in courtroom E of the Hernando County Court House located at 20 N Main St, Brooksville, FL 34601."

Arrest Summary Excerpt: "Your affiant responded to 7255 Laketon Dr. and made contact with the defendant for the purpose of serving 3 active felony Hernando County Warrants. Your affiant positively identified the defendant by past booking photos. The defendant gave a fictitious name of Nina Lawhead and refused to provide photo identification. The defendant was detained with the use of handcuffs while identity was being additionally confirmed. The defendant's identity was additionally identified by the tattoos from her previous booking photos. During the time the defendant was placed in handcuffs, the defendant resisted several times without violence by pulling away from your affiant in an attempt to not be detained. The defendant continue used the fictitious name several times. With the assistance of a female Deputy, the defendant was searched for weapon and contraband and her tattoos were further identified. The defendant later advised that she was lying and that she gave her real name of Danielle Peddle-Hadley.

The defendant was served with 3 felony warrants with the case numbers of 2017-19524, 2016-30608 and 2016-33350. The defendant was additionally charged with resisting without violence. The defendant is being held on a $1000 bond and has a returnable court date of O7I192017 at 0830 hours in Courtroom B."

He stated the knife “must have” cut her on the leg.

RHODES, GREGORY JACK

Arrest Summary Excerpt: "On 06302017, we responded to 6396 Strawberry Dr. Upon arrival contact was made with Sheila Chapman, victim. Sheila first stated that she and the defendant had gotten into a verbal argument when she fell on a saw blade in the barn. When asked to clarify the incident, Sheila then stated that the incident occurred inside the residence at 6396 Strawberry Dr. Sheila stated that the defendant was in the bedroom with her with a knife when “somehow” the defendant cut her leg, possibly accidentally.

Sheila showed us the area where the incident occurred. The comforter on the bed had a large amount of blood along with a pair of shorts that she advised she was wearing.

Sheila’s injuries were observed to be on her right leg just below the knee, approximately a 7 inch laceration. Sheila did require medical treatment and was transported to Bayfront Health- Brooksville for medical evaluation and treatment.

Contact was then made with the defendant. The defendant was read Miranda via card. Post Miranda, the defendant first stated that he did not know how Sheila obtained the injury. He then changed his story, stating that they were in the bedroom having an argument. He stated that he had a knife in his hand with the blade open when Sheila stretched her leg out. He stated the knife “must have” cut her on the leg.

Neither the defendant nor Sheila wished to cooperate with law enforcement and provide further details.

Contact was then made with the defendant’s mother, Sylvia Rhodes. Sylvia stated that she did not hear or observe the incident, but when Sheila exited the room, Sheila told her that the defendant had cut her leg.

After completing this investigation, I found there to be Probable Cause for the arrest of the defendant on the charge of Aggravated Battery With a Deadly Weapon. The defendant and the victim have been in a romantic relationship for approximately a year and a half, living in the same residence as a family, making this incident domestic in nature."

Defendant Parked Diagonally Across the Sidewalk and Partially inside of the Zounds Hearing Aide Center, arrested for DUI

Arrest Summary Excerpt: "On 07/01/2017, this affiant was Dispatched to 13076 Cortez Boulevard, in reference to a vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, I observed a 1999 white two door Honda bearing Florida tag HLYZ22 to be diagonal across the sidewalk, and partially inside of the Zounds Hearing Aide Center located at the above address within Hernando County.

I made contact with the driver/defendant, Olga Caceres-Acevedo. I completed a crash investigation. Due to noticing several signs of impairment, to include the defendant, to have droopy eyelids, a slow response time, and no logical explanation for how the crash occurred, I began a DUI investigation.

I informed the defendant that I had began a DUI investigation and read her, her Miranda Rights, via Agency issued card. The defendant acknowledged her rights and waived them. The defendant admitted to being the driver of the vehicle. She again re-iterated that she did not know how the crash occurred and only that she was trying to park.

It should be noted that the parking spot, at this location, are aligned vertically and not diagonally. However, the defendant’s vehicle, was observed to have entered the building, while travelling diagonally.

I questioned the defendant if she was on any prescription medication, to which she replied she takes Klonopin and numerous other psychiatric medications.

I requested the defendant to complete a series of field sobriety exercises. The exercises revealed evidence of impairment.

The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Hernando County Jail.

Upon arrival at the jail, the defendant provided an urine sample, which will be further analyzed for the presence of narcotics.

The defendant was issued a court date of 08/02/2017 and is being held on a $1,000.00 bond."

Arrest Summary Excerpt: "On today’s date, at approximately 1837 hours, I was dispatched to the Urgent Care located at 4112 Mariner Boulevard, in regards to a battery. Upon arrival, contact was made with Dr. Opyoke, who advised that his patient/the victim, Maria Bolarinho, sustained some injuries from a punch in which she had visible bruises on her left side, by her ribs, as well as some blood in her urine. However, the doctor was unsure if the blood was from the punching, however, he advised that the injuries sustained were consistent with the victim’s statements.
Contact was made with the victim, Maria Bolarinho, who advised that she was pushed and punched by her husband of 41 years, Americo Bolarinho. Maria stated that this incident occurred on 06/30/2017, at approximately 1600 hours, while Maria and the defendant were at their place of work, which is the Dunkin Donuts located at 13179 Cortez Boulevard. Maria advised that it was over a verbal argument and some name calling. I then observed Maria to have several visible bruises on her left side. One was on the center of her ribs and another small bruise was located closer to her spine. Maria advised that she did not contact law enforcement and was in fear of retaliation.

I then made contact with the defendant, Americo Bolarinho, at his residence located at 3489 Indian River Street. I asked the defendant what had occurred on 06/30/2017 while he and his wife were at work. The defendant stated that Maria called him several names, which made him upset, so he pushed her. I asked the defendant if he had punched Maria, in which he advised that he only pushed her, but he could not advise how many times or how hard. The defendant provided me with a sworn written statement, which stated, “I push her.” the defendant also advised that he knew it was wrong and understood that he would be going to jail, and he was cooperative and compliant throughout the investigation and arrest.

Maria was given an intake date of 07/17/2017 at 1500 hours.

The defendant was then transported to the Hernando County Jail and given a court date of 07/19/2017 in Courtroom B at 0900 hours, and is being held on a no bond status due to this being domestic in nature."

Arrest Summary Excerpt: "On 7/2/17 I responded to Circle K located at 11091 Spring Hill drive in Spring Hill, Florida in Hernando, drive in reference to a female with pink hair stealing from the store. Upon arrival of being on scene the female with pink hair got into the driver’s side of a silver Saturn (bearing tag HKHK22) and proceeded to drive off. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the vehicle stopped at the McDonald’s 11055 Spring Hill Drive.

Upon approaching the vehicle, contact was made with the driver/defendant, who identified herself as Brittany Russel. The defendant and passenger were asked if there was anything illegal in the car to which the defendant stated she did have pills. The defendant gave verbal consent to search her person and the vehicle. A small trinket box with pills was located in what she identified as her black purse that was located up front with her. Two pills that were inside the trinket were Ibuprofen and there was a small round blue pill with the engravings E 64 which she stated was “klonapin”. The blue pill was verified through Pill finder to be Clonazepam 1mg. The defendant did state that her friend gave it her the other day to but she did not want to take it.
A syringe was also located in her purse to which the defendant advised she’s an addict and used the syringe to get high.

The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Hernando County jail without incident. The defendant was given a court date of 7/31/17 at 0830 hours in Courtroom E of the Hernando County Courthouse. The defendant was given a bond of $6,000.00."

Man with a Mushroom Tattoo Arrested with Three of the Glass Pipes

Arrest Summary Excerpt: "On 07/02/17, while on routine patrol, I observed a white 4 door Buick sedan bearing Fl tag# 569NNE traveling south on Sunshine Grove Road. I observed the vehicle to have an expired tag as the date on the decal read 05/17. I conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle, due to the expired tag at the intersection of Sunshine Grove Road and Cortez Boulevard.
Upon making contact with the driver/defendant (Brandon Wade Nelson) he immediately stated, “Officer, I'm going to be honest, this is my friends car and I do not have a license”. The driver identified himself as Brandon Wade Nelson and stated his license had been suspended multiple times due to unpaid fines.
A search through FCIC/NCIC confirmed that Brandon indeed did not have a valid driver’s license.

At this time I asked Brandon to step out of the vehicle and asked him if he had anything illegal in his vehicle. Brandon nervously looked around and said “no”. At this point I asked Brandon if I could search the vehicle. Brandon consented to a search of the vehicle and stated there was a glass pipe under the driver’s seat.

A search of the vehicle yielded 3 glass smoking pipes of different sizes. All three of the glass pipes had a crystal like substance inside of it.

The large glass pipe containing a crystal like substance tested positive for methamphetamine using NARCO test kit 7623. The medium glass pipe containing a crystal like substance tested positive for methamphetamine using NARCO test kit 7623. The small glass pipe containing a crystal like substance tested positive for methamphetamine using NARCO test kit 7623.
All of the items were weighed using scale model C305-P at the Hernando County Detention Center. The large glass pipe containing methamphetamine had a total weight of 200.8 grams; the medium glass pipe containing methamphetamine had a total weight of 14.5 grams; the small glass pipe containing a methamphetamine had a total weight of 12.8 grams;
It should be noted almost all of the weight came from the weight of the glass smoking pipes.

The defendant was taken into custody and transported to the Hernando County Jail without incident. The defendant is currently being held on $2,000.00 bond per the bond schedule for Possession of Methamphetamine, $1,000.00 bond per the bond schedule for Possession of Paraphernalia and $500.00 bond of Driving while license suspended or revoked for a total bond of $3,500.00 per the bond schedule. The defendant has a felony arraignment date of 07/31/17 at 0830 hours in courtroom E of the Hernando County Court House located at 20 N Main St, Brooksville, FL 34601."
