Excerpt: “On 02/03/2017 I responded to 7261 Lamplighter Street in reference to a battery. Upon arrival contact was made with Andrea Naschak, the defendant, who advised that she had slapped her roommate, Christy S. The defendant further advised that she slapped her roommate due to her not helping clean the house.

BB gun assault at Pioneer Park

Two adult males battered and assaulted, with a bb gun, an adult female at Pioneer Park on Friday, January 13.

According to the police report, the victim, Dominique D. told authorities that she was battered by the two suspects Ryan Treger and Brandon Mashburn. Dominique told the responding officer that she and Treger got into a verbal altercation that led to Treger striking her and pushing her; the police report also stated that she had markings on her face and body, as well as blood from her nose accurate to her statement.

Tampa Bay Bomb squad called in due to suspicion of explosives

Hernando County Sheriff's Office authorities arrested Randall McConnell of Brooksville on Jan. 25, 2017 at 10AM at his residence, 8050 B.W. Stevenson Road in Brooksville, with help from the Tampa Bay Bomb Squad.

Undercover detectives had been investigating McConnell for a year under suspicion of drug dealing. Detectives were able to purchase methamphetamine from him and then obtained a search warrant.

Target store burglarized, suspects still at large


On Jan. 4, 2017 at 2:32 a.m., the Sheriff's Office was notified about a burglary in process at the Target store located at 4401 Commercial Way in Spring Hill.

Witnesses stated that four males were inside the store taking items and placing them into a BMW sport utility vehicle that was parked directly in front of the store.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene at 2:33 a.m. The first unit arrived on scene at 2:36 a.m, however the suspects had already fled the scene.
