Gifts

by Dimitri Youse, 10th grade student

What is the greatest gift you have received that is not “stuff.” When people hear the word “gift” right away their mind takes them to material gifts. There are many gifts that are of higher importance than materials. These are some of my favorite gifts that have been given to me to cherish.

Op-Ed: Where we go from here

William Smith, Special to Hernando Sun

The nation is divided by race, geography, religion, culture, politics and economic class and we all must ask ourselves where we go from here, individually and as a nation. However, almost all of them have to be taught, usually by their parents, about the immediate and future consequences of their behavior. In order to accomplish this sacred responsibility, the authority figure has to take charge in almost all situations.

Student Editorial: Thoughts from the same mind

by Cameron Deam, 9th grade student

In present times, it seems as if the media is attempting to make everyone the same. We see this in ads, television and social media. In the past, individual mindsets led to changes in history. Because of individualism, great advances in science, math, history, and language took place. So why does the media want to diminish our individualism in society?
