Jabo's for a roadside island experience

On County Line Road about halfway between US19 and Mariner Boulevard is Jabo’s Restaurant. It is located on the north side of the road and there is a permanent sign next to the food trailer. It has an Island vibe and there is a small awning covered seating area if you want to eat there.

Jabo, the chef is a friendly man and he seems to truly enjoy interacting with his patrons. He spoke with us for a little while after he brought out our food.

The food is relatively inexpensive and the portions were a good size. The grass fed beef burger was large and came with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and cheese. The smoked sausage tasted very similar to a kielbasa and came on a hoagie roll. The grouper sandwich was moist and quite good. It came with a side french fries. We also tried the chicken tenders which came with a side of fries.

There is a good selection of sides and Barbecue. They have a large smoker and may run out of barbecue and wings, so call ahead. We will be back there to check out their barbecue. There are some canned sodas available for purchase with your meal.
