Orender, Iva Louise Chapman, 82, of Tampa. After battling health problems over the last two years, Iva went to her perfect place of peace and rest with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 10, 2015. Iva was born in Brooksville January 24th, 1933. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, and love of her life, Carnace Orender; parents Iva and Malcolm Chapman; sister Mildred Chapman; and brother and sister-in-law Roy M. and Evelyn Chapman. She is survived by her loving and devoted family: son Kenneth Deyarmin; daughter Carol Deyarmin; sister Cretha M.

November 5th through 12th, 2015

Zenia Kosh, 87 of Brooksville passed away November 5, 2015. She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and came to Florida 30 years ago. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Kosh and her parents, Clement and Anastasia Kosh. She is survived by her sons, Dave, Tom and Craig Kosh; daughter, Darlene Wilk; 7 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews; loving family and friends.Src Brewer

Obituaries October 31st through November 5th

Sister Eitha Frazier was born to the late Richard Lee Frazier on June 30, 1945 in Allendale, SC. She attended the public schools of Allendale. During her early years, 1972, she moved to Brooksville, FL to be near her loving family. She was employed with Brooks Industry for 14 years until she retired. Her favorite song “Touch Like That”, was a song of praised and she loved to hear her nephew Cajion Smith sing. She was a family person and will be missed by them greatly.

PADGETT, Richard G., age 78 of Brooksville, died Thursday, October 22. Born in Shelby, North Carolina he came here 50 years ago from Boone, North Carolina. Dick was a 1967 graduate of Appalachian State University and after receiving his law degree in 1972 from Stetson University College of Law, he opened his firm in Hernando County in 1973, and was still in practice today. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and was an avid golfer and member of Brooksville Country Club. Survivors include his son: Allen T.

October 16th through October 21, 2015

Helen Maks, age 91, died on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Helen was a longtime resident of Spring Hill, coming from Chicago, Ill. A home maker who loved to care for her husband, of 50 years. Helen was born in Khmelnefzkj, Ukraine, on August 5, 1924, to the late Stanley and Bronias (Kaletrwycz) Rozylo. Helen loved to draw birds, and then embroider, crotchet, and knit the artwork. Helen and her husband were founding members of the St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, in Brooksville, FL., and always helped in fund raising during the sales of Pierogis’, Bobka’s, and Kolacki Cookies.

Rebecca Mae Cornell (October 28, 1949 to October 9, 2015) was a loving wife to John Michael Cornell, a loving mother to Kipp and Tyson Cornell and a loving grandmother to Ayden, Gavin, and Alexander Cornell. Becky graduated from Kansas State University and worked as registered nurse at Research Medical Center before becoming a computer systems' engineer for AT&T in Kansas City, MO . She retired in 2005, and then moved to Spring Hill, FL where she became an active member in the Wellington Homeowner 's Association and eventually became President of the Board.

Jack Horgan of the Council of Foreign Relations passed away October 1st. His wife and children were with him. Jack was an expert on Japan, fluent in Japanese, and was a sharp, challenging and caustic political commentator. In the U.S. Army he served in World War II in the Pacific and trained for the forecasted 1946 sea invasion of Japan's Home Islands. He returned to the United States and obtained his degree from Harvard. He then joined the CIA and served many tours in Japan, Korea, Philippines, Southeast Asia and Ghana. He was a key U.S.

RICE, Gladys Adelia, age 94 of Spring Hill, died Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Heron Pointe Health and Rehabilitation of Brooksville. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, she came here 19 years ago from Lakewood, New Jersey. She was a homemaker, member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and of the Catholic faith. Survivors include her son: Glenn Rice of Basi, California; daughters: Penny Guinta and Lynn Bonessa both of Spring Hill, Florida and Patricia McQuillian of Corona, California; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

September 18th to September 24th 2015

GARGANO, Mathew, age 43 of Hernando, FL died Friday, September 18, 2015 at his home. Born in Boston, Massachusetts he came here 30 years ago from Taunton, Massachusetts. He was a Journeyman with the Millwrights Union in Tampa, U.S. Army Veteran of the Gulf War Era, an avid Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Buccaneer Fan and was of the Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Gargano, Sr. Survivors include his son: Noah of Tampa; mother: Arlene “Angel” Gargano of Hernando; brothers & sister-in-law: Mike Gargano, Jr.

WRIGHT, Margaret I., age 93, of Brooksville, FL, died Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Oak Hill Hospital. She was born in Elkhart, Indiana and came to the area 26 years ago from Marion, Indiana. She was a retired Sunday School teacher and a member of the Wesleyan Women’s International and a life member of the Trained Nurses Association of Nepal. Src: Merritt
