Stewy's Skate Park is located in Spring Hill, Florida

There is a park that many Hernando County residents do not know exists. Nestled on a corner of Talbot Circle and Pinehurst Drive is a local park in Spring Hill called Pioneer Park which was renamed to Stewy’s Park after Stewart Abramowicz, aged 12, died in a scooter accident January 2001 on Pinehurst Drive.  Abramowicz along with his twin brother Anthony had worked to raise money for building a skate park before both were tragically struck down by a vehicle in their Spring Hill neighborhood.  Anthony survived and helped to see the skate park become a reality.

Works of Evie Harper and Julie Komenda on display at PHSC's Rau Musunuru MD Art Gallery in New Port Richey.

While there are many wonderful places to view art, the Rao Musunuru, M.D. Art Gallery at the Pasco-Hernando State College’s West Campus in New Port Richey, allows people to view work from local artists. Not only is it a fantastic opportunity for artists to gain exposure regarding their work, but it’s also a rewarding experience for the community.
