Touring Florida State Capitol

Want to learn about our state government and history? Instead of reading about it in a book, take a day to explore the Florida State capitol in Tallahassee.
On a recent vacation, we had the opportunity to spend a few hours in the state’s capital and it allowed my kids to experience a little of our state history as well as learn how our state came about.

Matchbox Day at the County Fairgrounds

SUNDAY, AUG. 13, 2017 9 AM TO 3 PM

Matchbox Cars and Trucks are undoubtedly one the world’s most popular toys. Originating in Britain in the early 50s, the company produced thousands of different model cars and trucks and, in conjunction with diemaker Jack Odell, and the introduction of small-box packaging, the popularity of the toys had spread worldwide by the mid 60s.

Matchbox cars and trucks are not just for the kids to play with, they hold a huge appeal to adult collectors because of their highly-detailed castings and designs.
