With no district tournament, Spring Hill Dixie Baseball sent two entrants into the “O”Zone (age 11-12) All-Stars State Tournament at the MERE Complex in Marianna.
In the double-elimination event, which began July 15, Spring Hill American had the longest run, going 2-2.
On the opening day of action, SH American started off with a 4-3 win over Sneads. On July 16, a rain-soaked Sunday, SH American ended up playing late in the evening, falling to Sebring, 9-8.

A longer than expected Dixie Baseball All-Stars “O”Zone (age 11-12) District 6 Tournament left Spring Hill American hoping for another opportunity.
On Saturday, with the much weather-delayed event shifting from Tampa to Anderson Snow Sports Complex due to poor field conditions, SH American fell a game short of the championship tilt, losing to Wesley Chapel American, 7-6.
Having gone 2-2 and finishing third in the tournament, SH American was left to wait and see if it would receive an invitation to the state tournament starting July 16 in Sebring.
