AT THE HERNANDO COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
Hernando County Emergency Management (EM) will be hosting its annual Hurricane & Safety Expo on Saturday, May 5, 2018. The Expo will be held at the Hernando County Fairgrounds located at 6436 Broad Street in Brooksville from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature a panel of local TV meteorologists, public safety displays, SKYWARN® training, vendor tables and fun activities for the kids. The Expo is EM’s opportunity to bring the community together to become better prepared to face the upcoming hurricane season, especially after being impacted by both Hurricane Hermine and Irma in the last two years. There will be lots of displays, demonstrations and safety experts available to help educate and prepare our community for all possible hazards.
