Oak Hill Hospital recently recognized the hospital’s Nurse of the Year, New Nurse of the Year, Physician of the Year, and Resident of the Year at its annual Nursing Gala held at Silverthorn Country Club. The nurses are nominated by physicians who feel that nominees support the mission, vision, and philosophy of nursing, as well as for their dedication to provide excellent service to every patient, every time. Physicians and residents are nominated by nurses who feel that the physicians support the mission, vision and philosophy of at Oak Hill Hospital and for their dedication as team members to provide excellent service to every patient every time.
The winners of each award are as follows:
· New Nurse of the Year—Ashley Legner, RN, Telemetry
· Nurse of the Year—Jessica Urello, RN, Telemetry
· Resident of the Year—Dr. Zaid Tabbaa, Internal Medicine
· Physician of the Year—Dr. Abdulmaggid Eddib, Internal Medicine
“Our Nursing Gala is the culmination of a week-long tribute to the care and compassion shown to every patient, every time by our team of experienced nurses,” said Chief Nursing Officer Leanne Salazar. “The majority of our nurses are now board certified in their specialty. While the Gala announces the winners in each category, many of our nurses, residents, and physicians are honored with nominations in the four categories. This allows everyone to share in this evening of recognition,” she added.
