During what is commonly called the primary election, there were several candidates that were elected. Don Barbee Jr is the new Circuit Judge 5th Judicial Circuit. Susan Duval remained as the School Board District 5 Member. Catherine (Kay) Hatch is the new School Board District 1 Member. The winners of the other primary elections are moving on to face new opponents in the general election. The School Board District 3 will be decided by a runoff election between Jimmy Lodato and Diane Rowden, since none of the three candidates received more than 50% of the vote.
