Sheriff Al Nienhuis is pleased to report that moments ago, Mrs. Roy was located in a wooded area near Rural King on Commercial Way.
She will be evaluated on scene by Hernando County Fire Rescue and then reunited with her family.

The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance from our media partners and the community in locating a MISSING ENDANGERED ADULT.
Janice Roy was last seen on 09-20-2018 at approximately 8 a.m. Mrs. Roy was last known to be in the area of the 6000 block of Tapestry Circle in Spring Hill (TIMBER PINES). Mrs. Roy left the area on foot in an unknown direction of travel.
Mrs. Roy suffers from periodic memory loss and confusion and may be lost.
It is also possible that Mrs. Roy is considering self-harm
Mrs. Roy’s physical description is as follows:
White Female
Date of Birth – 01-08-1945
Height – 5’7 lbs.
Weight – 160
Hair – Salt/Pepper (short)
Eyes – Unknown
Last seen wearing – Unknown clothing – possibly shorts.
