Winding Waters staff and players from the boys and girls basketball team challenged staff from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Monday night December 18th on the Yellow Jackets’ home court.

Winding Waters SRO Deputy Paul Smith coordinated the event as a charity food drive for those families that are in need during the holiday season.

“It’s a new perspective to show that the deputies are regular people,” Deputy Paul Smith said.

The game was fun and entertaining as well as the opportunity to bring parents and students together with the members of the Hernando County Sheriff’s office that serve to protect them and to ensure their schools are safe.
