If you happen to be an Olive Grove member, you have been welcomingly busy these past couples of weeks. Dede Davis, owner of the Olive Grove, located in Brooksville has been growing olives trees as well as offering events, workshops, and entertainment for over five years. “We do all sorts of workshops, arts, and crafts,” Dede said. “It’s not always me, and sometimes other people have things to offer too so we try to bring that in as well.”
Olive Grove runs two season workshops, one in the Fall and one in the Spring.
Spring previous workshops included:
-Pottery Creations: Make a Hanging Planter from Pottery, Glaze, and Fire.
-Mosaic Garden Stones: Create garden stone with a beautiful mosaic design.
-Make and package your own “Facial Scrub”: All natural ingredients for perfect soft skin.
-Stained Glass Window Painting: Paint a beautiful stained glass design.
-Castile Soap Making Cold Process: Using all natural and organic ingredients.
There are upcoming workshops still available for members and nonmembers.
-Feb. 10-11am: Macrame Plant Hangers.
-Feb. 17-11am: Spring Living Wreaths using a variety of Spring flowers and plants.
