On 02-13-19 just after 9:30 a.m., detectives from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 5073 Landover Boulevard in Spring Hill.
An investigation revealed that the resident, James Slocum, was involved in cultivating marijuana.
During the search of the residence, detectives located the following:
25 marijuana plants in various stages of growth
13.041 pounds of harvested marijuana
2 firearms
Multiple items of paraphernalia.
Slocum was taken into custody by detectives and charged as follows:
James Richard Slocum W/M DOB/03-08-1956
Trafficking in Marijuana
Owning a Place for Trafficking/Manufacturing Marijuana
Cultivation of Marijuana
Possession of Paraphernalia.
Slocum was transported to the Hernando County Detention Center where he is being held on a $16,000 bond.
