The caller, the owner of the shop, advised dispatchers that he observed a male entering into the business by breaking the glass and then jumping over the counter. The owner was able to observe this by accessing the surveillance camera via his smartphone.

Patrol deputies arrived on scene to find the glass front door to the business broken.

At approximately 2:15 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a Commercial Alarm at the Citgo Station/Store located at 19275 Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville.

Patrol deputies arrived on scene to find the glass front door to the business broken.

Investigation revealed two possible suspects, Nathan Spratt and Hunter Bussell.

Deputies worked throughout the night to locate the suspects.

Deputies Veronica Flynn and Kyle Wilson located Hunter Bussell at his residence, at 1221 Candlelight Boulevard in Brooksville. Wilson told deputies that he did not know the whereabouts of Spratt but knew that he “hangs out” in a shed in the back yard of an abandoned residence on Kennedy Boulevard in Brooksville.

Upon arrival, the residence appeared to be vacant. Upon searching the area, deputies located Spratt sleeping on a bed, inside the shed.

The suspects were charged as follows:
