The Citrus Showcase of Homes is ongoing until March 3, 2019. This year they are showcasing 15 Homes by 11 builders. The models are located in some of the major developments of Citrus County including Sugarmill Woods, Citrus Hills, Pine Ridge Estates, Heritage and Inverness Highlands.

You can see newer features including rounded drywall corners and tray ceilings. It is also a great opportunity to check out the different flooring, bathroom, and kitchen tiles that are available. There are ceramic tiles that look very similar to wood, some even have wood grain patterns built into them. Kitchens are another place where you can see the latest cabinets and backsplashes. It is also a great chance to see the many different types of natural stone available.

The showcase is an opportunity to learn about the latest innovations in energy efficiency. There is Icynene® Foam Insulation which is a great heat barrier and can greatly reduce the temperatures in the attic of a house. Foam filled block walls is another option among energy-saving enhancements.

Steve Tallman Chairman of the Citrus Showcase of Homes Committee said, “The 2019 Citrus Showcase of Homes is well underway and the traffic to these spectacular homes has been brisk.”

Many of the builders represented in this show also build in Hernando County. Hernando County is expecting significant growth in the next few years with thousands of residential units expecting to be built. If you are planning on building soon you will want to pick a builder and get in the queue, since they will be very busy for the foreseeable future.
