Hernando County Parks and Recreation will temporarily close its large dog section at Rotary Centennial Dog Park, located at 10375 Sandlor Street in Spring Hill, beginning Friday, March 29 through Sunday, March 31, 2019, to allow for staff to pour concrete slabs around picnic pavilions in the area. These slabs will be installed for patrons to use while watching their dogs enjoy the run areas.
Large dogs may utilize the medium dog section of the park during this time. The park itself will remain open to the public as normal, sunrise to sunset. Once the large dog section has been poured, dried and cured properly, it will re-open for normal use on Monday, April 1, 2019. The medium dog section of the park will also receive concrete slabs around the area’s picnic pavilions on a separate date that will be announced once determined.
Contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (352) 754-4027 for additional information.
