Sheriff Al Nienhuis is pleased to report that the Care Line Program saved another life today.
Earlier today, when the 101-year-old Care Line client did not call in at her designated time, the Care Line clerks attempted to call her. The client did not answer.
After meeting with negative results when attempting to contact friends and neighbors (listed as emergency contacts), Care Line clerks requested a unit be dispatched to conduct a Well-Being Check on the client.
Upon arrival, it was determined that the client had suffered a medical episode and was “down” on the floor inside the residence. Units on scene requested Fire Rescue be dispatched.
Fire Rescue treated the client on scene then transported her to a local hospital.
It should be noted that the client will turn 102 years old in just a few weeks.
