LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATIONS
• Deputies responded to:
o Trespass – Deputies received multiple complaints in the areas of Sunday Road/Joliet Street and Ovenbird Road/Bluebird Road (both sides of Cortez Boulevard) – Upon arrival deputies observed the suspect flee on a yellow bicycle and attempt to conceal himself behind houses – Deputies located the suspect and took him into custody on Owl Road – It was determined that he had jumped in the pool at one residence and removed a “Ring” doorbell at another residence (stealing the device does not eliminate the video) – The male was arrested and charged accordingly.
o Well Being Check/Suicidal Statements – Heckman Road/Brooksville – Female made statements that were of concern to family/friends – Upon arrival deputies found female to be unresponsive – Female transported to a local hospital by Fire/Rescue.
o Armed Vehicle Burglary – 813 Roberta Avenue/Brooksville – 2018 Ford F-350 was left unlocked at several locations throughout Hernando County – At some point, unknown person(s) entered the vehicle and took a 9 mm handgun and a pair of sunglasses.
o Traffic Stop – Alcan Avenue/Fordham Street/Spring Hill – Deputy observed the driver roll through a stop sign – Upon approaching the vehicle, deputy smelled burnt marijuana inside the vehicle – A search of the vehicle yielded .20 grams of cannabis, two items of paraphernalia, a Glock .380 w/an extended magazine, and 34 capsules containing a white dust (11.41 grams) – White dust tested positive for amphetamine – Arrest/Male.
