Ricardo Rivera opened up his art gallery in Spring Hill known as Ricardo Design Gallery. On Friday October 4, 2019 they will be holding an open house for the public at the gallery located at 13112 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill 34609. It will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Ricardo has been a part of the Spring Hill community for 33 years. He has several other businesses he’s helped develop in Spring Hill but his gallery is his favorite and his greatest passion. He decided to open the gallery since there aren’t that many venues for art around our area and he wished to share the beauty and uniqueness of art. Ricardo has put a lot of time, money, and dedication into his beautiful gallery. “Some days when I walk in here it takes my breath away at all the beauty and hard work that has gone into my gallery!” Ricardo exclaimed.
The gallery has eight artists, many of which are local. “The main mission is to bring in the undiscovered artist and make them known,” Ricardo shared. The gallery has a variety of artwork and sculptures with a wide range in pricing, so there’s something for all. As you walk through the gallery, you may notice some paintings look familiar as several artists have chosen to depict scenes from the local area in their work. Some of these pieces include Hudson Beach sunset as well as Aripeka waterways and homes.
Ricardo himself specializes in fine etching in glass metal and acrylic, photo enlargements, unique frames and much more. They have many other projects in the works and planned for the future.
The goal of the open house is to bring people in and share all that the gallery has to offer. Ricardo will have some local artists at the open house sharing their work and all that goes into making it. He hopes that by bringing in the artists, it will help inspire more people to come to the gallery and support them. He will also be giving tours of his workshop where you can find all his new pieces, framework, and new inventions. There will also be a DJ, different wines, champagne and hors d’oeuvres.
