HCA played Hillsborough Baptist Friday night Oct. 25, while Hillsborough Baptist won their last two games, averaging a 20 point lead. This game was their final game of the season. “They were not going to give up, and they have a couple of kids that were players; number 64 (Hillsborough Baptist Sophomore Nehermiah Gumbs) that kid blocked Austin Cain better than anyone this year,” Coach Raley said. “They were not about to quit, and when someone doesn’t quit, the fight stays.”
HCA’s final game before the playoffs is against Bayshore Christian on November 1 at home. Bayshore with four wins and three losses has been having an up and down season thus far; however, that doesn’t mean they won’t be bringing everything they got when facing Hernando Christian Academy.
“It’s going to be a great competitive game,” Coach Raley said.
