In 2004, the magical film, The Polar Express appeared in theaters. It’s now one of the most popular children’s Christmas films. Its 3-D roller coaster feel captures its young viewers. In Spring Hill, you can actually board a real Christmas train. A train that mimics the feel of a child’s dream, one we all had as children at one time.
The Central Pasco and Gulf Railroad offers rides this month at the Crews Lake Wilderness Park in Spring Hill.
About this time last year, Fox 13 News Feature Reporter Charley Belcher came out and spoke with the President of CPGR and they agreed that we all enjoy “just being kids,” and it’s special when that joy and passion is about trains. Charley also talked about how there is 14,000 feet of railroad track through the park for visitors to ride through, on a model train. There are over 30 different trains that have been built for the model railroad at Crews Lake Park.
The train rides are open to children and adults of all ages. Adults and children pay $6.00 (ages 12 months and younger are free) to ride all-day.
Train Rides are from 10:00am-4:00pm.
