(Spring Hill, FL) at 2:06 am, Hernando County Fire Rescue (HCFR) responded to a
reported residential house fire at 5000 Odin Street.

First units arrived on the scene within 7 minutes and reported a commercial tool truck and
passenger vehicle with heavy smoke and fire showing. Crews immediately identified a live
power line had fallen on the truck causing the fire. As soon as the power line was secured,
crews made an aggressive fire attack, preventing fire spread to the residence in close
proximity of the vehicles.

Fire crews quickly brought the fire under control, preventing spread to the residence. There
were no reported injuries to the residents or responding Firefighters. The commercial truck
and passenger vehicle sustained heavy fire damage.

Due to the prevention of fire spread, the residents were not displaced. The fire cause was
determined to be the downed powerline.
