Information Needed for Hernando Fatal Crash on US-19 and Hexam Rd on 2/20/20

On February 20, 2020, at 10:34 PM, An unknown vehicle was traveling westbound on Hexam Road, east of US-19. A 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Devin Page Camp, 26, of Riverview Florida was traveling southbound on US-19, north of Hexam Road. The unknown vehicle failed to stop for a posted stop sign before making a left turn on US-19 and entered the path of the Chevy Tahoe. Mr. Camp took evasive action and steered the vehicle away from the unknown vehicle.  As a result, without colliding, the Tahoe entered the outside grass shoulder and overturned several times. Mr. Camp was then ejected from the vehicle as it overturned. Following the incident, the unknown vehicle continued southbound on US-19 and did not return to the crash scene. Mr. Camp was transported to an area hospital, and expired on February 27, 2020, from injuries sustained during the crash.
