BROOKSVILLE, FL – Following a 4PM conference call with Governor Ron DeSantis and all school superintendents, Hernando County School District Superintendent John Stratton issued the following message:
“This afternoon, Florida school superintendents were directed by the Commissioner of Education to close all schools for the next two weeks for students. Closure includes that all athletics and extra-curricular activities including field trips will be canceled starting Monday. All staff will return to their work sites on March 23rd for training and planning. Students will return to school on March 30th. Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA will operate as usual.”
