We’re asking for the community’s help in maintaining the safety of patients, visitors, and our healthcare team members. When in the hospital for treatment, the best interest of our patients is to minimize unnecessary exposure to infectious or communicable diseases.

If you have traveled from a high-risk area for COVID-19, have a history of international travel or have recently been on a cruise, have had contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19, and cough, fever or difficulty breathing, patients should tell staff immediately and visitors should delay your visit unless seeking medical care.

Only well, essential visitors such as immediate family, partner or significant other ages 18 and older may visit patients. The limit of visitors is two at a time. Patients in isolation will have additional visitor restrictions.  Visiting hours are 8 am-8 pm and will be enforced. Effective 3/17/2020, the main hospital entrance will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Any other time, please enter the facility will through the Emergency Department entranceAt Bayfront Health Spring Hill, NICU visitation will be restricted to pre-authorized family members only.  A support person for OB patients is limited to one. The Baby Place entrance will be open from 8 am-8 pm daily.  After 8 pm, please enter the facility through the Emergency Department entrance.

If you would like to drop off a card, gift or message of encouragement, we are happy to deliver those to patients. You may also call a patient’s room or visit patients using Facetime or another video communication app.

As part of our preparedness, and work to minimize unnecessary exposure to infectious or communicable diseases, we are temporarily suspending all non-essential activities and events such as health education classes, tobacco cessation classes and support groups, etc. This is an extraordinary time in our community and we are taking this step out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our volunteers, guests, and community.

We appreciate the community’s understanding and compliance.
