(Brooksville, FL March 26, 2020) Mid Florida Community Services, Inc., is excited to announce the hiring of 20-year Hernando County Parks and Recreation veteran staff, Christie Williams, as the retreat manager for Chinsegut Hill Retreat and Conference Center.
On January 28, 2020, Mid Florida Community Services, Inc.(MFCS), and the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners entered into a partnership agreement for the operation of Chinsegut Hill Retreat and Conference Center in Brooksville.
Williams brings extensive industry knowledge and experience, as well as site-specific knowledge to the MFCS team as retreat manager for Chinsegut Hill Retreat and Conference Center. “I can see and feel the passion that Christie has for the property, and I am excited for her to join the Mid Florida Community Services team,” said MFCS CEO Michael Georgini. “Her background, knowledge, and experience have prepared her for this opportunity.”
MFCS will operate the retreat and conference center, dining hall, classroom, caretaker’s house, and cottages for events such as retreat lodging, weddings, trainings and conferences, and fundraisers. Revenue generated from retreat and conference center activities will be used to supplement funding to MFCS programs and services that address issues and concerns being experienced locally.
