ORIGINAL INFORMATION:
On August 22, 2020, at approximately 6:45 PM, an FHP Trooper on routine patrol observed a green Ford Ranger driving in a reckless manner southbound on US-41 near Grand Entrada Boulevard. The Trooper attempted a traffic stop which the suspect driver then fled from. Shortly after beginning the pursuit, the Trooper attempted a PIT maneuver which was ineffective as the suspect driver braked abruptly and struck the side of the Trooper’s patrol car. The Trooper then terminated the pursuit soon after as the suspect began driving in the wrong direction. Lastly, it was later determined the displayed license plate was not assigned to the pickup truck.
