An unknown vehicle, possibly a passenger vehicle, was traveling southbound in the center lane of US-41 approaching the intersection of Southern Hills Boulevard at 9:40 PM on 11/27/2020. A 59-year-old male bicyclist from Brooksville, with lights as required by state law, was traveling eastbound and crossing US-41. As the bicyclist crossed the highway the unknown vehicle struck the bicyclist who suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Following the crash, the vehicle fled the scene.
