An SUV, driven by a 50-year-old female from Spring Hill was traveling southbound on Spring Time Street approaching County Line Road. A motorcycle driven by a 40-year-old female from Hudson, who was wearing a helmet, was traveling westbound on County Line Road approaching Spring Time Street. A third vehicle, a pickup truck driven by a 46-year-old male from New Port Richey was stopped facing eastbound on County Line Road,
waiting to turn left onto Spring Time Street. The female driver of the SUV failed to stop at the stop sign and continued into the intersection and collided with the motorcycle. Following the impact, the motorcyclist was propelled into the front of the pickup. The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries, as the female driver of the SUV fled the scene of the crash. FHP Troopers soon located the SUV driver at her residence on Spring Time Street and arrested FRIDA CHARLENE ROSS, 50, for DUI Manslaughter and Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving a Death.
