Charles R. “Chuck” Smith, 92, of Brooksville, Florida, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at his home.
The former County Commissioner and member of the Florida House of Representatives was born January 20, 1928 in Webster, Florida. During his political career, Chuck focused on Florida’s agricultural issues and personally addressed issues in the farming community.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, followed by a procession from Merritt Funeral Home to the Brooksville Commons where Funeral Services will take place.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hernando County 4-H or the Hernando High School FFA.
