The 2021 Hernando Showcase of Homes, a display of 19 luxury home designs, will be presented February 26 – March 14, 2021, 10 am – 5 pm Monday thru Saturday, 12 noon – 5 pm on Sundays throughout the duration of the Showcase. This annual self-guided tour of fine affordable homes on the Nature Coast, says organizers, offers a wide variety of homes that are more spacious, more diverse, and more beautiful than ever.  And this year’s event offers more ways than ever to enjoy the showcase.

Hernando Builders Association and Sunrise Propane will present the 2021 Hernando Showcase of Homes, which continues a community tradition of more than three decades here in Hernando County.

“We have 10 builders this year, more than we’ve seen in quite some time,” said Haile Eaton, Chairwoman of Showcase of Homes Hernando County and co-owner of Probuilt US. “Our builders offer so many options and are considerate of changes to home plans… Visitors can customize their dream home.”  Nita Beckwith-Melaugh, CEO of Hernando Builders Association, feels that the Showcase is a superlative presentation of contemporary home designs.

“These are the latest and greatest in home designs and features,” said Beckwith-Melaugh.

This year’s showcase will feature one Brooksville, 12 Spring Hill, and six virtual models. The builders represented are Alexander Custom Homes, Artistic Homes, Dream Custom Homes, Hartland Homes, Palmwood Construction, Pastore Custom Builders, Probuilt US, Shiloh Construction Corp., Royal Coachman, and Legendary Construction and Remodeling.

“Our custom home builders are offering a variety of floor plans, including three bedrooms, two baths, four bedrooms, two baths, etc. This year’s models have many pools, patios, and porches, and are including plenty of space for entertaining with social distancing in mind, as more people spend more time at home,” said Beckwith-Melaugh. “The homes themselves are large, from 1,000 to 4,000 square feet, with plenty of room for extra bedrooms, mother in law suites, etc.”

And they are also works of large-scale art.

“These are Florida-style homes painted with natural colors,” said Beckwith-Melaugh. “These are earthy colors that blend into the environment.”

Furthermore, the public can tour these models in a number of different ways this year; either through the tour route, through individual appointments made with builders in advance, or online through virtual models plus model photos and descriptions.

“Everything in the models is disinfected after every visit, and the builders are cleaning more thoroughly than ever,” said Beckwith-Melaugh. “Social distancing will be in place.”

Yet the core of the showcase remains the same, with its focus encompassing home designs, innovative home products, decor, technology, energy efficiency, and comfort.

This year’s showcase website is located at https://www.hernandoshowcaseofhomes.com/. The website features the address, directions, and maps to each of the homes on display, so guests can plan their parade route.

Andrew L Carr, VP Growth and Development of Sunrise Propane in Hudson, takes pride in his company’s support of the Showcase of Homes.

“Sunrise Propane is once again proud to be the presenting sponsor of the 2021 Showcase of Homes In Hernando County,” he said. “This is going to be the best one we’ve had in several years. We’ve had fantastic participation from many of the great builders in Hernando county, and we truly enjoy working with all of them. This is a wonderful opportunity for folks to see what the Nature Coast has to offer and to see the beautiful, and energy-efficient homes these builders can provide. Sunrise Propane is a locally owned and operated company that has been in the area for over 30 years, and we are pleased to be a part of helping these builders with the energy efficiency of their homes by providing clean, safe, and efficient Propane uses such as for tankless water heaters, ranges, dryers, fireplaces, pool heaters, generators, and more.”

“We hope people from all over the Tampa Bay area will come out and see what the builders of Hernando Builders Association have to offer,” he said.

Both Beckwith-Melaugh and Eaton agree that this event also ‘showcases’ the many benefits of living in Hernando County; a place offering everything from numerous and ever-evolving shopping and restaurant opportunities to numerous schools and medical centers.

“From Weeki Wachee to the Gulf of Mexico, to places for people to run their four-wheelers,” said Eaton. “Who wouldn’t want to live here?”

And by touring the Showcase of Homes, people can find the perfect home for the perfect community.

“Come see our fresh new ideas and creativity in building,” said Beckwith-Melaugh.
