Parks and Recreation Manager Chris Linsbeck addressed the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) with an agreement between the county and the Lowman Law Firm. The agreement allows the firm use of the bandshell at Hernando Park to advertise the law firm and host a number of events. In return, the firm has committed to enhance and maintain the bandshell and replace benches within the park. The board approved unanimously.
Lowman will pay the county $8,000 on May 1st of each year for a 10 year term. Additionally, the firm will have the right to host 6 events per year, as approved by the county. The agreement is renewable.
Board Chairman John Allocco commented on the initiative, and hopes other businesses will partner with the county going forward. “We have other parks and it would be great if we could get sponsorship for some of the other things going on.”
