The 40-member concert band will play a program some pieces were to be presented in April of 2020 but cancelled by the COVID-19 pandemic. Added to those pieces are Manhattan Beach March by John Philip Sousa; a tribute to armed forces veterans; and America The Beautiful arranged by Carmen Dragon.
Weeki Wachee Winds, a community concert band, just began rehearsals in early 2020 when COVID-19 brought the music to an abrupt halt. Rehearsals have begun again under the direction of its founder and conductor Mark Hengesh. The band is actively recruiting musicians for a 2021-2022 concert season.
