Four men suspected of robbing a 7-eleven gas station store in Brooksville earlier this month are now suspected of robbing another 7-eleven gas station store in the Brooksville area last week.
Around 2 a.m. on Oct. 29, deputies from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to a call reporting a robbery at the 7-eleven gas station store at 10325 Cortez Blvd. in Brooksville.
At the scene, a clerk told deputies that four black males wearing hoodies, sweat pants, gloves, and medical masks entered the store while she was cleaning. As one of the suspects approached her, three others began collecting several cartons of cigarettes.
The suspect watching the clerk led her behind the store’s front counter, ordered her to open the register, and proceeded to remove the money inside it.
The four then left the store and fled the scene.
According to Michael Terry, deputy public information officer (PIO) for the HCSO, the four are described as the same as those suspected in the Oct. 25 robbery of a 7-11 gas station store at 18226 Powell Rd. in Brooksville, as well as others that have recently occurred in surrounding counties.
The HCSO’s investigation into this incident and the other Brooksville robbery remains ongoing, Terry said.
