CRYSTAL RIVER, FL – On November 12th & 13th, 2021, Crystal River Florida’s very own Pete’s Pier, will be transformed into a premier fishing event.
Dozens of anglers are gearing up for their chance to win the first-place prize of $10,000. This event is open to the public, and is packed with festivities, including live music, contests with cash prizes, vendors offering food, snack, drinks, and crafts, and with an overall tournament purse of $20,000.00!
The owners of Pete’s Pier, Boe, and Dana, are excited to be bringing in this premier fishing tournament. When asked about the event, Boe stated: “This tournament is going to be the Holy Grail for that skilled angler to be awarded the status of: “King of The Bay”. Boe’s wife Dana added: “When we purchased the marina, we knew it had been a central hub for all anglers, manatee, and water lovers. We also realized that there are quite a bit of skilled captains in Citrus County”. Boe continued “I’m excited that we’ve acquired a 6’ Gold Trident Staff that will be on display in our bait shop, with each year’s winner proudly displayed with the Trident”.
The cut-off for the fishing tournament registration is Friday, November 12th, or 200 boats, whichever comes first.
