The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is hoping that the public can help find a missing adult man who is believed to be at risk for suicide.
According to HCSO Media Relations Manager Denise Moloney, Kyle Feeney’s former girlfriend contacted the HCSO after she received texts indicating that he planned to use a firearm to harm himself. According to investigators, the woman received the last text from Feeney just after midnight on Nov. 9.
The woman gave deputies visited addresses used by Feeney, but they failed to find him there. A visit to his mother’s home yielded similar results.
According to his former girlfriend, Feeney is known to drive several vehicles, but she was unable to describe any of them. Later investigators discovered that Feeney does not have a valid driver’s license, and the only vehicle registered in his name is an orange 1983 Toyota Celica/Supra with the now-expired Florida license tag F81WQR.
Also known as Turtle, Feeney is described as a white male, 38 years old, standing 6-feet, 4-inches tall with brown hair, blue eyes, and wearing glasses.
Feeney, who is possibly armed, is known to frequent various places in Pasco County.
Anyone who has seen Feeney or has information concerning his whereabouts, should not approach him, but should call 911 or the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office at 352-754-6830, Moloney said.
Those who spot him outside Hernando County should call their local law enforcement agency.
