A Weeki Wachee driver and his passenger were unhurt in a crash that killed a motorcyclist from Port Richey.
Just before 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 4, a 58-year old man driving a pick-up truck and his 53-year-old-passenger, both from Weeki Wachee were traveling westbound on Centralia Road. A Port Richey man was driving a motorcycle northbound on US-19.
At the intersection, the driver of the truck turned left into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle subsequently collided with the left front of the pick-up.
The truck’s driver sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. His passenger was unhurt.
The driver of the motorcycle, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to a local hospital where he died of the injuries that he sustained in the crash.
