A Brooksville man is being held at the Hernando County Detention Center after being arrested on numerous counts for committing sex crimes involving children.
According to Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Media Relations Manager Denise M. Moloney, a lengthy investigation by detectives from the HCSO Major Crimes Unit revealed that between January 2020 and November 2021, Thomas Lyle Brandhuber, 58 allegedly committee numerous sexual batteries and numerous lewd and lascivious molestations against four victims under the age of 13.
The incidents took place on various dates and times and at various locations.
On Dec. 3, detectives arrested Brandhuber and charged him with three counts of sexual battery and six counts of lewd and lascivious child molestation.
He is being held at the Hernando County Detention Center without bond.
The HCSO investigation remains ongoing.
Meanwhile, Brandhuber is under investigation in active investigations for similar activities in other counties around the state. Additional charges are pending the results of those investigations.
