“Stand Strong, Run Long, and Leave No One Behind,” is the motto of the 2022 Spring Lake Memorial Classic, an event that benefits the Arc Nature Coast. While this event may be set in a scenic haven of majestic oaks, magnolias, eagles, native plants, and whitetail deer, (and of course Sunshine!), this is no walk in the park. It’s a spirited 2 Mile/5K/10K that provides a fun challenge to the body and spirit and for a good cause too! All three courses will take participants along shaded tree-draped roads and over some very challenging hills!

These events consist of a 2 Mile walk (The Perfect Stroll), 5K (The Toughest 5K), 10K (The Neff Lake Monster). They will commence on May 28 with a Registration/Check-in at 6:30 am – 7:30 am, with the 10K starting at 7:30 am, the 5K starting at 7:40 am and the 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk starting at 7:45 am, all at the Arc Nature Coast – Brooksville Campus, 5283 Neff Lake Road, Brooksville. An award ceremony will immediately follow the race.

Proceeds from this event support individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities explained Nancy Stubbs who is the chief development director of the Arc Nature Coast. They provide access to the information, advocacy, and skills they need to support their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes. And as classic participants walk and run on behalf of these very special people, they’ll be enjoying a race that revitalizes the spirit. So while doing this run be sure to keep your head high, breath deep and keep your eyes peeled, it truly is a treat for the senses!

An early bird price special for event registration will run through Dec. 31. For more information, visit https://runsignup.com/Race/FL/Brooksville/2020SpringLakeMemorialClassic2Mile5K10K. To sponsor or register, please call Nancy Stubbs at (727) 619-0700 or e mail [email protected]
