A Brooksville man was injured after he lost control of the sedan he was driving and collided with a trio of utility supports near Mariner Boulevard early Saturday morning.
Sgt. Steven Gaskins, public affairs officer (PAO) for the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said that at 3:40 a.m. on Feb. 19, a 24-year-old man from Brooksville was traveling at high speed northbound on Mariner Boulevard approaching Bali Lane when he lost control of the sedan he was driving and left the roadway.
The vehicle went on to strike a utility pole, a water main pipe, a utility support cable, and a tree before rotating and coming to a stop in the parking lot of 5224 Mariner Blvd.
The driver sustained serious injuries in the incident, Gaskins said.
