An early morning shooting at the Mermaid Lounge on Commercial Way in Spring Hill left one man down with three gunshots.
At approximately 2:10 am on February 19, 2022, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) 911 dispatch received a call of the shooting and a man down in the parking lot of the bar.
Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services (HCFES) and HCSO responded to find one male on the ground suffering from 3 gunshot wounds.
The subject was first treated by bar patrons then EMS transported to a local trauma hospital.
The HCSO is advising they are looking for 1 black and 1 Hispanic male.
