Live Oak Theatre Company (LOT) is a not-for-profit 501 (C) (3) repertory company of local artists, located at the Carol and Frank Morsani Center for the Arts, 21030 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville. The Live Oak Theatre Company exists to enrich families, individuals, and the community by providing positive artistic experiences in the performing arts. They also include excellent, affordable, and edifying family friendly entertainment, performance, and educational opportunities for theater patrons and participants of all ages. The 2nd annual Live Oak Theater Golf Classic will be hosted on May 5th at Southern Hills Plantation Club, 4200 Summit View Dr., Brooksville, on the Pete Dye golf course. The Friends of Live Oak Theatre Company and Conservatory will host this sporty event to benefit the arts.
Patricia Crowley with Friends of Live Oak said, “As strong supporters of Live Oak Theatre, Teri Nichols, Pat Augustyniak, and I are excited to Chair the 2nd Annual Live Oak Theater Golf Classic at Southern Hills Plantation Club at the acclaimed Pete Dye 18 hole championship golf course. This year’s tournament will be held on May 5th, Cinco de Mayo, with a shotgun start at 9:00 AM. To add some fun to the tournament we have invited “Golf Today” and their nitrogen-powered Golf Ball Blaster. The blaster will go over 500 yards and get you on the green. The day will include a continental breakfast and a buffet lunch with a Cinco de Mayo theme with special prices on margaritas and beer. We will wrap up the day by acknowledging the winning Teams and Players and Yes we will have raffles! Spherion Staffing donated a Yeti Cooler which will be filled with Cinco de Mayo Party Googies. The Yeti Cooler will be showcased at Glory Days on SR 50 during the month of April; stop by to purchase a ticket(s) for $20.00 each.”
The classic also will include registration and breakfast at 7:30 am and a buffet lunch, awards ceremony, and prize drawings at 1 pm in the clubhouse. “All proceeds from our Golf Classic will assist Live Oak Theatre Company and Conservatory in providing family-friendly entertainment, performances, and educational opportunities for theater patrons and participants of all ages,” stated Crowley. “Theater is the most social of the arts; providing social relationships in action on both the stage and the audience. If you are looking for a class in the arts, (LOT) Conservatory offers classes for youth and adults in acting, music, dance, and chorale. I hope to see you on the green on May 5th.”
Register online at www.liveoaktheater.org or fill out the Golf Classic registration form available on the site and mail it with your payment. Individual golf registration is $175 and team golf registration is $700. Sponsorships are available in amounts ranging from $100 to $3,000.
