A Spring Hill man was fatally injured when he walked into the path of a car driven by a man from Tampa.
According to Sgt. Steve Gaskins, public affairs officer (PAO) for the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) shortly after 8:30 p.m. on March 17, a 50-year old man was driving a sedan eastbound on County Line Road, approaching Kelly Road in Pasco County when a 76-year-old man from Spring Hill was walking southbound in the roadway and entered the car’s path.
As a result, the sedan collided with the pedestrian who sustained critical injuries.
The driver of the car was unhurt.
The Spring Hill man was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
On March 18, he died as a result of those injuries.
