A St. Petersburg man was killed in a traffic incident involving a driver from Ridge Manor.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Public Affairs Officer (PAO) Sgt. Steve Gaskins said that shortly after 5 a.m. on April 7, a Dodge Durango driven by a 58- year-old woman from Ridge Manor was traveling in the westbound lanes of SR-50, approaching Cedar Lane while a 52-year-old pedestrian from St. Petersburg was standing or walking in the westbound lanes of the roadway.
The man sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
The driver of the SUV was uninjured.
