A Spring Hill man is dead after he lost control of the car he was driving and collided with multiple objects along Mariner Boulevard.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Public Affairs Officer (PAO) Sgt. Steve Gaskins said that shortly after 1:30 a.m. on April 11, a sedan driven by a 57-year-old man from Spring Hill was traveling northbound along Mariner Boulevard at a high rate of speed and when approaching Elgin Boulevard, the driver lost control of the car.
The sedan subsequently crossed the southbound lanes of the roadway, entered the west shoulder, and collided with a traffic light pole, a control box, and a pedestrian signal before overturning.
The driver sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
