High School Tennis Gulf Coast 8 (GC8) Conference tournament results

The boys and girls Gulf Coast 8 (GC8) conference tournament for tennis began on Monday, April 6. Boys held their district match at Lecanto High School and girls finished up their matches on April 6 at Delta Woods Park in Spring Hill.

The GC8 Conference is comprised of eight schools: Springstead, Nature Coast Tech, Weeki Wachee, Central, Hernando, Lecanto, Crystal River, and Citrus. The Hernando and Crystal River High School Girls Varsity tennis teams forfeited the event this year.

The team event winners were Crystal River for boys and Lecanto High School for girls.

Team results of the Gulf Coast 8 Boys

Crystal River finished first with 13 points, just one point more than Citrus with 12 points. Springstead came in with 9 points, followed by Nature Coast Tech with 6 points, and Weeki Wachee with 2 points.

Lecanto finished first with 17 points, Springstead was four points behind at 13 points. Central finished with four points followed by Nature Coast Tech with 3 points and Weeki Wachee with 1 point.
