Autumn Resch has been appointed to the position of Curator for the Museum Association. She has been a volunteer for the last four years and has stepped up to the plate when Morgan Wick Gonzalez could no longer continue in the position. Autumn has been working on uploading the acquisition data for the May-Stringer into a computer program. She is reveling in the information she culls from the forms. Many of these forms are now 40 years old. This program will allow a much more accurate and accessible catalog of artifacts in the collections. Here’s an excerpt from Ms. Resch’s bio:
“I’m a history lover, wife, nurse, and mother of two beautiful and rambunctious boys. I began my journey with the Hernando Historical Museum Association in 2018 as a daytime history docent. I quickly grew to love each of our museums and the thousands of artifacts that were housed within them. I found myself spending hours upon hours researching Hernando County, and before I knew it, I was guiding ghost tours in addition to history tours. The volunteers I work with have become my family. I’m thrilled to have been selected as curator, and I look forward to many years with the Hernando Historical Museum Association.”
Many thanks to Morgan Wick Gonzalez for the fabulous job she did over the last few years. Welcome, Autumn Resch and thank you for adding another hat to your busy life. Autumn can be reached by calling 352-799-0129 and leaving a message.
